That might be a good GDT theme in the future.    Everybody post as if they're FP ranting.

As an old Pirates' fan, Spahn wasn't one of my favorites.     :)

Have to find a picture of Donald throwing a fork-ball.

That's not the purpose of instant replay. The purpose is to get obviously wrong call right, not slo mo and magnify shot to determine what the call is.

UGH. It looked a bit inconclusive to me. I thought if there was any bit of a doubt it couldn't be turned over. Well OK I guess it was conclusive the guy was giving Bryce a buttwipe tag.

Now you're talking.   He was the Face of the franchise.     ;)

I hope the umps aren't leaning toward a Philly favor because of it being the Phanatic's Birthday.

Would love a sweep but might be tough with all the backups in.

Surprised Werth isn't resting though.

Wow that's really interesting. Dusty had already told Clint he would be I today like five days ago.

That's seriously good people managing right there. Like FP said, as bench guy, day game after a night game you might come to the park with butterflies wondering if you're going to play, hell every day might be like that. But if you tell people when they're going to get their chances, they can mentally prepare and be relaxed when the time comes, because there's confidence that there isn't as much uncertainty.

They sent Gio to a "Mental Coach."

Wonder if Stras got time on the couch as well?

He'd never come back to the team

One of the post game interviews last night Dusty said he makes the lineups several days in advance and usually sticks with what he originally wanted. He doesn't change things just because of something that happened the night before. Now injuries causing someone to be out is something different.

I'm really ready for Heisey to be starting and leading off over Taylor

Is it just me or did he look...slow running out that ground ball? It was like watching Ramos run. I'm not saying he should have beat out the throw but he didn't look particularly quick or explosive coming out of the batter's box.

Werth needs to retire.
