Somewhere right now a relatively new Nats fan is seeing that number and thinking that must have a been a feisty, talented crew back in 2008.

...and boy did that 2008 team's fortunes head south right after the third win. The 2009 edition started at the bottom and worked its way down, but 2008 had that little teaser mini-winning-streak at the beginning, including that Nats-Park-christening walk-off win.
