Gialowtow?

Yes sir.    He even had me confused.    I heard it and thought "that's not right".    Had to recheck the spelling.

From the Post. (Doesn't really sound like an oblique...)

ATLANTA — The Nationals entered Opening Day on Monday happy that they had not suffered any major injuries, especially to key players. But four innings into the first game of the season, center fielder Ben Revere put an end to that good vibe with what was described as a right rib cage injury.

Revere said he felt some pain in his right side during his first swing of the game. He struck out two pitches later and something felt different. He stayed in the game and felt the discomfort linger when he jumped at the wall for a Freddie Freeman homer and tried throwing a ball in. In his third inning at-bat, Revere got a 2-0 pitch and couldn’t drive it like normal.

“My body kinda told my brain and kinda reacted in a different way and kinda came off it and that’s when I knew something was up,” Revere said. “I went back out and caught the [Jace] Peterson pop fly and it was kinda tough going over there and running because it was kinda tough for me to breathe a little bit.”

Revere, who finished 0 for 2, finally decided that was enough and came out of the game in the fourth inning, replaced by Michael A. Taylor, who had a hot-hitting spring.

Revere, who considers himself a fast healer, said he hoped to take some medicine, get some rest because Tuesday is an off-day and use a muscle stimulator machine on his side. Manager Dusty Baker said Revere is considered day to day and couldn’t say if it was an oblique injury or not. Revere said he hoped to take a couple days to rest and be re-evaluated on Wednesday.

“It’s frustrating,” he said. “The first time it’s happened to me. I hate being hurt. Something I was raised to. My dad was like that. My brother. Something you gotta take precautions on and be out a couple days and then be a couple months or whole year if it’s serious. Take it one day at a time and let this thing heal.”

I was at The Ted today. Let's just say that it was verrrrryyyyy chilly on the shuttle bus back to the MARTA. Which was an improvement over being cussed at. Lovely fans here in the ATL. The silence after Werth came home was delicious.

Thanks a lot - I plan on doing these whenever possible, which would exclude weekends and holidays (since I don't have internet access at home) and possibly some days when I'll be travelling abroad (depending on what kind of net services might be available where I'm staying). But I'll be doing these every day I can - I enjoy doing them!

Ooh I didn't know I was part of WNFF GDT history!  Was that the game with that horrific 7th inning where every pitcher forgot how to throw strikes?

Yes, followed by Papelbon giving up the game-losing homer. Here was Williams' post-game quote:  "I have confidence in every one of those guys in that room. Tonight wasn't their night, but I have confidence in them. Our coaching staff has confidence in them. So we have to prepare for tomorrow." (Really.)

And 2 of the 3 perpetrators are still hanging around.
