The Salem (OR) Volcanoes, class A affiliate of the SF Giants, play in a stadium that is in the path of totality of the 2017 solar eclipse, and are planning EclipseFest 2017. There will be a weekend long beer festival, fireworks, and an unusual 9am game time on the day of the eclipse, so that the Volcanoes can play the first ever MiLB game to be interrupted by eclipse. http://www.milb.com/content/page.jsp?ymd=20160812&content_id=195178222&sid=t578&vkey=team3

The nearest the path of totality gets to our area is South Carolina or parts of Georgia so if you're gonna travel to see it, might as well make the trip a doozy. Looks like Salem hotels are close to sold out already (at least the decent ones).
I ... kinda really want to go to that. But the Nats are playing in Houston that day. Decisions.
