they're all in, which means Altuve tears his ACL in spring training.

You know who would be perfect for the Astros lineup? Murphy. Wouldn't trade him in a million years... but put him in the three hole behind Altuve and Springer and his style of never striking out would kill for them.

A high contact, low strike out guy in the 3 hole behind guys who run like that would dominate. Line drive, gap power is all that's needed, not necessarily fence-clearing pull power.  Murphy would kill there, but even a lesser contact guy would be a good fit.

how is this possible?  He was supposed to have a very high floor.  that this guy is not even MLB average means someone messed up ridiculously.

Mlbtr:  The Diamondbacks have announced that they’ve acquired starter Taijuan Walker and Ketel Marte from the Mariners for Jean Segura, Mitch Haniger and Zac Curtis. Yahoo! Sports Jeff Passan was first to tweet that a deal was close between the two teams

Seems like the backs fleeced the mariners given Segura has had just one good year.

It'll be interesting if they handle the Miller, Franklin, Marte set of SS any better than how they handled Adam Jones, Michael Morse, and Yuni Betancourt. Of course, in both cases, they ended up with an actual SS.

Segura had a very good year a couple years ago with the Brewers. The next year his toddler aged son passed away, Segura got hurt, and his game fell apart. Now he's healthy and starting to play to potential.

I think the M's won that deal, just with Segura alone. FG likes Haniger too. Walker has not played up to potential -- not much of a loss for a team that had pitching to spare, and needed bats.

Another interesting M's deal. Sent Alex Jackson to the Barves for Rob Whalen and Max Povse (SP prospect).

Milwaukee cut Chris Carter and replaced him with Eric Thames. So Carter assuredly ends up on Baltimore, yes?
