I don't think Turner is capable of giving you 50 games at 3rd. If you bring him in, then you should think 3rd is Tena / Turner platooning until House is ready. Which may be doable, but that is not good defensively. OTOH, I'm not sure that you aren't better off with just Soto / Crews / Wood in the OF and Turner (or better) DH'ng. I'd explore the trade value of Young if Soto were on board.
More than Turner, Christian Walker is the guy I'd give a hard look at either with Soto or as plan B.
As for Abrams's trade value, i still think it is high. The guy may not be a defensive shortstop, but he plays somewhere. I think the "time management" issue is one teams think they would be able to get at if he's surrounded by veterans worth looking up to more than some short termers about to be flipped.
Tena hits LHP well though, so I don't know why you platoon him. I'd much rather they try him at shortstop if they trade Abrams. And you can DH Contreras, put Millas in as a defensive catcher. Young can be a fourth OFer.
I think Abrams is too much of a gamble (pun intended) because it isn't clear if this was just youthful indiscretion, or if he has an addiction. He would easily slide over to second base in Seattle, and they have veteran presence there with Raliegh and Arozerena. I just don't think they're going to cough up Bryan Woo to get him, which to me is the floor. And given how badly this team needs power, I don't think we're in a position to be giving away 20+ homers for pitching.
