No way man, don't hang that on Bergmann, that pitch was way up and out.  Give Beltran credit where it's due.

And continue to berate our pathetic offense  *sigh*

You knew it was inevitable.  Our pitchers have to be almost perfect, just so we have a slight chance of winning.

Pretty sad when your pitcher has only given up 2 hits and 1 run in 6 innings against the best offense in the NL and you still lose..

I'm just at a loss for words at this point.. Our #4 and #5 pitchers have shut out the Mets' powerful lineup over the last 2 games..

JINX - that's how he hit it.  That pitch looked like it was moving.  But Beltran is hitting .337 and it's his 5th HR.  It's gonna happen.

The improvement of our pitchers is a good sign that this team could have winning streaks and turn the season around.  Statistically, our hitting is better than what we did in 2005, when we had a commanding lead in the NL East in the first half, but were near dead last in almost every hitting category.  But batters have good and bad streaks and a good manager can tweak the lineup for them.

Without Belliard this offense would be much worse

Our problem is a combined 25 RBI's in our 3-5 spots. That is on pace for about 150 on the year...outstanding for one player but terrible for 3.

I just don't know why Acta won't change the lineup more often.  I mean, if ever there were a season to experiment, this is it!

Well hopefully Zimmerman will come around, but I'm not so sure about Kearns.  I've never been sold on him honestly, as he seems to be practically a carbon copy of Guillen, minus the RBIs.  Yet he never seems to catch much flak from anyone around here except me.  Young started off strong but he hasn't done much lately.  Once Nick & Nook come back Young will be a bench player anyway, so hopefully he can make himself a valuable trade commodity in the meantime.

Sutton keeps suggesting viewers to take Mom to a game for Mother's Day.  Why not take her to a professional wrestling match after the game?

My god.. Young looks at a pitch right down the gut and then throws his bat at a pitch over his head..  I have never seen such a horrific offense in my life.  Just unbelievable

Maine's pitch count just passed Bergmann's, 85-82.

We better get some runs in the 7th or 8th because Wagner is lights out.

No because by the time Nick is back, Nook will be back in center.  Young will play off the bench.

Because Schneider doesn't have the arm anymore, and Flores does.  Oh, sorry that's just my reason.  The real reason is because Schneider is dog-sick.

We need to shake up this lineup. It's obviously not working. I'd say

Lopez
Belliard
Church
Kearns
Zimm
Young
Snelling
Schnieder

I honestly don't think Kearns is doing that badly. But he has no RBI's because he's never batting with anybody in scoring position. I think young needs to go down in the order, church needs to be moved up. Church has shown great clutch hitting as well as posting an excellent OBP of over .380. Batting 6th he is being wasted.

A 7-pitch inning for Bergmann and he's still going to get the loss  :'(

If i were Berg i would be fuming. I'm pitching the gem of gems and my team can't even scrap up a run or two at home?!

Nice hit Kearns but it means nothing...  they're just gonna walk Church again, then it's into the bottom of the order black hole

See?

I'm losing respect for Manny every day that he sticks with this ridiculous lineup.
