Alright Zimm, come on...  time to show the rest of our un-clutch lineup how it's done!

Or not...  good lord

Zimmerman, what the hell... He needs to be moved down to like 6-7 until he starts hitting again

You know Chad only gave up 1 run in any of those blown saves, right?  Maybe if our offense stopped sucking mud for five minutes Chief would be 6-0.  Just a thought...

I just hate when we get good starting pitching and score no runs.

Nasty breaking ball by Jason.. His stuff is just incredible, I just wish he would cut down on the walks a little bit.

Me too.  Our starting pitching and defense is becoming fairly solid but our offense is still consistently poor.

Anyone notice that last night the SP's gave up only one hit each late in the game, and now both the SP's have given up one run.

Williams and Bergmann are dominating!

Then we're agreed - Church moves up in the lineup.
If Manny were managing the Yankees, would he have A-Rod batting 6th?  Or ask that question about ANY team in MLB.  The honeymoon is ending - the performance of players is apparently irrelevant to the lineup.  So why do we even have a manager?

Debbi Taylor had an extended interview of former Senator Brant Alyea in the stands.  The Senators AAA team was in HAWAII, which explains something about those losing teams.  Too far away.

Not like it's anything new...  even with an almost completely different set of guys, our team is still basically the same after 2+ seasons...  good pitching, horrible offense, and poor fundamentals.

Austin, If you're not going to score at least make Maine throw some strikes to get you out!

Well I definitely agree Church should be batting higher, I've been saying that for a while now.

I think we should keep Lopez at short. There is no way Guzman is the better defensive shortstop this year. At the very least, Lopez has the better arm.

Agreed.  Belliard and Lopez should stay where they are.

I feel so bad for Bergmann.  :'(

Cuz you know the longer this game goes without us scoring, the more likely he is to get an L.

From playing fantasy baseball for the first time this year, I've notice that a LOT of teams have weak lineups.  The batting orders and the combined results of maybe 3 players account for a lot of teams' wins.  They make the best use of what they have.  We should have won a lot more games, because of the LOB's created by our weakly-designed lineups.  A lot of other teams are not managed very well either.

Given the FO's apparent focus on pitching, it could be years before we see a coherent lineup.

I'm just at a loss for words at this point.. Our #4 and #5 pitchers have shut out the Mets' powerful lineup over the last 2 games..

Maine and Bergmann both at 67 pitches after 5 innings.
