One of the old posters (JMad?) had "Muck the Fets" as their sig back in season one. I can't think of a more suitable sentiment this weekend.

Grin did you have to??

23 million people in metro NYC and they can't even half fill a ballpark on a Saturday afternoon for their playoff-bound team.

That inning sucked.

I don't understand how anyone can swing at the pitch Desmond just struck out on. I could be drunk off my ass and still sit on that pitch.

Just got home a surfin' the channels on the way to the Nats game.   MLB TV just showed the Sid Bream replay.    I'm depressed.

I know it's all messed up because they'd already clinched but I said the Mets would lose enough games for the Nationals to overtake them but the Nationals wouldn't win enough games.  If the Nationals had won all their games, ie "enough to catch them", the Nationals would have 88 wins going into this game and the Mets have 89.

Hey Bob.  The Mets have TWO hits to the Nationals one.  Sing Gio's praises a bit.

Lol, Syndergaard is freaking cruising. I'd rather the Nats just forfeit the last two games if they're going to play like this.

I think Escobar was part of the reason Rizzo was comfortable with trading for Papelbon.  Because Escobar's reputation had been so toxic and he turned out to be much less, he thought he  could put Papelbon on the team with the same result.

Cespedes should say "bye-bye" to his hamate bone right now.  Every Nationals pitcher should be aiming at it until this series is over.
