What's going on with Harper?
He's mentally checked out. I see no reason for him to be on the field right now, or  for the rest of the season.

We know that's not who he is.

More likely he's pushing too hard to win the title.

If I had his September I'd be a bit off balance too.

Been a pretty wild ride indeed.

Yeah, gotta say, this might be the first time I've agreed with PC ever. I think his interaction with Papelbon shook him. I don't mean physically - I think he'd crush Paps if they went toe to toe (i.e, Paps didn't throw a sucker punch), but has him wondering what exactly the team is all about.

It wasn't a sucker punch.   :)     I do feel Harper would match up pretty well.    He just doesn't know it.

No, I was sort of referencing a fair fight in general. He waited until he was three steps above him so he could run down the steps at him. I don't think Harper had any idea that a teammate would actually do that.

No, not exactly. He waited until he was three steps above him so he could run down the steps at him.

He started 3 steps above him.   Harper messed up by saying, "Let's f***** go."    He apparently never read Sun Tzu.

He waited on the top step until Harper moved down the steps. He didn't care what Harper said. He was going.

But we're pretty much in violent agreement here.

You hittin' any games this weekend?

Daughter and I talked about it a month ago, but no. If the Nats and Mets were close, we'd be there. Met fans are some of the worst when -- every ten years -- they are good.

Pretty much in agreement.    Harper didn't think it through and walked into Papelbon's trap.    Bet it never happens again.    :)    It's a great opportunity to watch Harper grow.   No matter if he stays here or not, we're seeing him become a ball player and a man.

Very well put. I just rewatched the video. That's exactly what happened.

His fault for not carrying.

[edit: lest that be misconstrued...]

True  ....  I'm trying to work on the missus' stove (looking at schematics).    Gotta replace a burner switch   ...  tomorrow.   :P    Then again, tomorrow I gotta check on my car in the shop.   Like the boss says, "It's never nothing."

The missus' stove? You don't cook? ;)
Haha yea my husbands chore while I'm away this weekend is replacing the microwave, which I rarely use but for making tea or reheating leftovers but I ridiculously just feel so lost without it.

Doesn't make it my stove.   You know the rules.    What's hers is hers.   What's mine is ours.
