Turner was below average in center tonight, but that's to be expected. I really rather have him at short where espinosa is brutal at the plate. But if the plan is to have him playing cf in the post season (if they make it) then he'll need the remaining months to master playing the outfield.

that over excited lunge to try get the out which turned into a double was bad, but i thought that aside he handled the field just fine. I am all in on getting his bat in the lineup everyday so i support him playing wherever required. That said I can't stand Espi

I was only able to listen. Obviously he was great at the plate. How did he look in the field?

He's already better than Revere, but that isn't saying much.

Don't be negative. It means he's proven he's able to play at a AA level at the minimum. Now we get to see if he plays good enough to be AAA fodder. That will put him on par with michAel A tAylor.

i don't think Turner is going back to AAA anytime soon, it seems we have our CF for the time being.

Put him at short where he's most comfortable and where espinosa is freaking overrated and not hitting jack crap. If the nats make the playoffs and turner makes a game blowing error like the one taylor did, I will tell you I told you so.

Most people on Earth are better at baseball than Revere.

Espinosa bench time, we've milked him and he's done offensively for the year, blew his load last month.  Turner to shortstop.  Trade for Jose Bautista, DFA Revere or keep his as a pinch runner.  Outfield Bautista, Harper (CF), Werth (Taylor and Revere 4th and 5th outfielders).

 You ever seen what a 90+ fastball looks like from the batter's box, let alone tried to actually hit one?

Who in the MLB is faster than Turner? Billy Hamilton? The Nats barely play the Reds but everyone time Billy Hamilton drops in a blooper or gets lucky finding a gap I just get being angry watching him completely screw with our entire pitching staff and defense's mind over on first. We now have a guy who will get on base much more consistently and do the same thing. I love it. I think he eventually steals 50 bases and we now know he can play three spots up the middle which gives the Nats a ton of flexibility as long as he is around.

I think he is our leadoff hitter for a long, long time. That's an easy prediction. But is it ridiculous to hope he eventually puts up a 2015 Dee Gordon season? .333/.359/.418 with 58 stolen bases? I don't know if Turner ever wins a Gold Glove, but he also probably would do better than Gordon's 20 times caught stealing.

Game changer.

I'd love to see that race. The difference between Turner and Hamilton is that, at least so far, Turner's a much more disciplined hitter. I'm not ready to put any proclamations on Turner yet, but the early returns are certainly promising. Very, very promising.

I'd like to know Hamilton's 40 time.  Turner 's is supposed to be 4.2.  I don't know if that's true but I've heard it from several sources.  And I don't know why he was timed in the 40, I thought that was for football players.  Speaking of which, Daryl Green "fastest man in the NFL" in his day, clocked 4.15 at his best.   Turner, running out a triple the other day, hit a speed of 22.something.   That's cheeta speed.
