Frankly, if his season ending on a sour note contributes in any way to MW's departure, I'm down with that.

His final gift to the Nats.

I heard Charlie and Dave just after the inside-the-parker that it was only the second grand slam he's given up. And the first was in his first year against the Dodgers, gave up 6 runs in the first and the Nats came back to win. Would be a cool send-off if they could come back and win. But this team is too bare in the ball cupboard.

Even HOFael Martin in on the tankjob. That or Rizzo just put together a crap bullpen to the surprise of no one.

I have a Nationals 2 season jacket that I bought last year and planned to wear at  a car show tomorrow in Leesburg that I am  now too embarrassed to wear and identify myself as a fan of this choking dog team.

Bryce is 0-10 in the last four games.  I'm guessing he'll get a day or two off when the Mets clinch.

When we got him the Nats were 53-46. They are now 78-75. I'm not mathguy but I think that means the record is 25-29.

But not a whole lot of blame goes towards him.

But Desmond won't. :stir:

And the Mets should clinch tomorrow.

Aside from being a bit of a tool and not playing very well, he's been fine. But when was the last time we had a solid closer?  June 2005?
