HRod effect. His stuff can be so filthy, you don't want to give up on it too soon. I might consider turning him back into a starter and see if forcing him to dial it back a touch helps him find a bit more control. His stuff plays, though. I don't want to cut him loose just yet.
Having him start next season in Syracuse isn't giving up on him. That's my point. Last seson, I wanted Barrett and Treinen to start the season in AAA. They should have been the fall back guys rather than the front line ones. We would have been much better off.
Same thing this season, Treinen and Rivero should start the season in AAA next year. This should also be Treinen's last chance. This organization needs to know when to move on.
