But I have a Papal audience.    :)

Will Turner and others now be allowed to play? Or is Desmond just too good to replace?

Werth made a good fielding play? What is this?

I can't believe there are people who want Treinen in the bullpen next season.
HRod effect. His stuff can be so filthy, you don't want to give up on it too soon. I might consider turning him back into a starter and see if forcing him to dial it back a touch helps him find a bit more control. His stuff plays, though. I don't want to cut him loose just yet.

Having him start next season in Syracuse isn't giving up on him.  That's my point.  Last seson, I wanted Barrett and Treinen to start the season in AAA.  They should have been the fall back guys rather than the front line ones.  We would have been much better off.

Same thing this season, Treinen and Rivero should start the season in AAA next year.  This should also be Treinen's last chance.  This organization needs to know when to move on.

I'm surprised we didn't go Rivera in the 8th.

I'm anxious to see what they do with the pen. My leash would be long with Treinen, though.

Treinen blowing a lead against a lhb. Shocker. They are truly living the definition of insanity.

The velocity numbers on Treinen's fastball are pretty incredible.   He's usually on those baseball blog pages that are titled something like "hardest throwers in the mlb" or something similar.  He just has to put it together mentally and really work on his control and get more movement.  He probably should also work on his secondary pitches more too.

I have high hopes for the Capitals this year...do well in the regular season and make some noise in the playoffs...

Desmond should be bunting here. But he won't and will strike out.
