Joe Ross in to pitch in relief. Quality use of the guy right there, Rizzo. Never mind just letting him make one more start and shut him down for next season.

That would've worked. As it is they are "ruining" Ross. :stir: :lmao:

Keepin' him fresh for the playoffs.

He did on the game I'm thinking of, a few days later. He came in with two men and one out and let both score.

And yet he'll play tomorrow and bat 5th.

Ramos needs to go with Desmond. Please,  just play Lobaton and Turner everyday.

Marlins have 12 hits. Nats have 2. Strange game. Nats get the double plays. If the Nats could hit...

This team has checked out after the mets series.  The Lerner's have to fire Matt Williams right?  And freak Boswell.  He's an oioles fan in disguise too.

It's not surprising the bats quit after the way the pitching quit this week, but it's still pretty sad. At least give us one or two last good blowouts to send us off to Winter with.

these clowns are just going through the motions, knowing that their paychecks are still coming in...the upcoming free agents know they will be gone...the few who have outrageous contracts are content to rake in the cash in exchange for merely putting on a uniform, and the one or two who might stay (though I think most should be sent onward) try to create the illusion they care, but it doesn't take long to see through their charade...

I hope every loss gets the nats closer to a new manager. I'd love for Rizzo to be fired but I doubt he will.

Will be interesting to see how Scherzer pitches tomorrow. Has he found the lost arm-slot?

Someone wrote that MASN tracked his pitches over the year and his arm-slot has not changed.

EDIT:    Checked back and VaRK wrote that Wood made that comment.   They now think it could be a hand angle issue.   Back the truck up    ....

That's the pitch...that's the Danny left-handed swing that always misses.

Pitch track goes from benz to Nissan.  Lol. Downgrades even at the sponsor level.
