But countless managers would be better with it

Dis-agree 100%

Storen went from an All Star closer to a reliever who cannot throw strikes. It shouldn't matter where he pitches. It's not Williams fault that Storen can't throw strikes.

And don't even get me started on the bums from Barrett, Jannsen, to Treinen to Rivero. All of whom should never be on a MLB roster on the 1st place.

We have one MLB calibre bullpen arm. And we aquired him at the deadline.

Look, all kidding aside, I'd have fired Matt Williams a long time ago, but he pushed the right buttons tonight. Players failed.

I think this is worse then game 5 - if they had won this it could have put them in the playoffs with a chance to do something - but now with this loss - with a 6 run lead the season is OVER. These week willed scumbags will crumble after this game

This team is made up of the most spineless, soft nages I've ever seen. What an embarrassment. Worse than the skins and caps. Save us jimmy wall. F this

Us? I only like baseball.  :(

Clippard worked under McCatty, so maybe he'll freak up. Shame on these guys if they don't know how to approach Clippard.

Is there any chance we get a base runner in the next 6 AB's?
Possible.  Not probable.

If only they had Soriano to pitch the 9th.

Sure, but at least the Caps make the postseason and then choke. And at least they have a competent coaching staff now, unlike the baseball team.

 Where are your bold predictions about something magical in the air? The only thing blowing in the wind is a fart unleashed by Mike Rizzo and fortunately the autumn winds will see to it that it dissipates quickly so we will be over it in no time.

There is no tomorrow. This was an elimination game.
