Because Doug Fister is such a great option?

I guess we'll find out.

Rendon, Desmond and Escobar is a pretty crappy infield defensively and it really hasn't done any of our pitchers any favours

Every decision Matt Williams makes is questionable and likely wrong.

Tripoli was 1805   ....   Halls of Montezuma was 1847.    My bad assed uncle was on Iwo.

I think were all thinking what comes first in the song

really don't get going to Fister w/ 2 outs 1.  Wait until next inning and get a legit pinch hitter for Gio

Halls of Montezuma ... to the shores of Tripoli.

In order to go "to" somewhere, you have to be somewhere first. Simply grammar.

I think the hymn refers to the inclusive battles and not the sequence.    :)

Wouldn't it make more sense to ease Span back into the lineup at the 7th or 8th position rather than putting him leadoff right away?

Matt Williams is too stupid to be a good manager.

I feared this would happen when everyone got back.  Matt Williams would unthinkingly play them together, everyday.  Even if a lineup scores 10 runs one night, that lineup might not be best for the next opposing pitcher but Matt will always go back to that same lineup.

This lineup needed tinkering tonight.  Ross needed to face more left handers.  He, like his brother, is much worse against left handed hitters.

Matt Williams would never think about things like that.

Awesome.  Both my uncles were Marines in WWII.  One actually ended up Ret. Army.

My son was in the 3rd grade and a teacher asked if he knew any veterans  ...  he said my dad, mom, both grandfathers and 5 great uncles.    We taught him early.
