Looked to me like he never touched. Just went by the plate?

Could be.   It was bang/bang.

Apparently he is.

He's not and he was safe.   Williams challenges terrible calls and didn't challenge that one.

And Werth probably broke his nose.

Even if he's safe because he made a great slide, the throw beat him easily.  You don't send a guy that has to make an incredible slide if a throw can beat him by 5 feet.

Not definitive. Can't tell if Lucroy didn't tag him. Can't tell if Werth touched home plate.

FP thinking that Werth's slow ass hustle dives are going to spark the team is just pure nonsene.

This game is not over by any stretch.  I can see it being tied real soon.

With the lead as it is now, MW may have been holding back in case of a challenge later in the game

Bad send on Werth. Would have had Harper up with a man on 2nd and 3rd.

Now Bryce comes up, bases empty.  That's why you fire Henley.

That was one of Bryce's worst at bats of the season.  It was Desmond like.  He was determined to hit a 500 foot homerun.

You don't send Werth unless it's a sure thing in that situation.  If the team was down by 1 or tied late in the game you take a chance, but not up by a good amount of runs.

The reliever with the 5.68 ERA is going to carve them up.
