Burning brightly with the Crips and Bloods in the crucible of Chavez Ravine

I fear we are toast by the end of the weekend, but I would be delighted to be wrong.

I can't see the Nats scoring more than 12 runs in these 10 games.  Prove me wrong NATS...  LET'S GO

That is a really bad Dodgers lineup though Kike Hernandez is on fire and crushes LHP.

This is the only winnable game of this series... No excuses tonight.

I play golf with a guy who's always thinking 2 or 3 holes ahead.     I always tell him, "One at a time."    Let's win tonight.      The rest of the series will get here in due time.

I should really censor that guy Hernandez's name, just to stay in shape.  instead, I think I'll just read up on Keith Foulke.

Then we're freaked because they're our opponent if we manage to pull out the division

Listen carefully, he makes a lot of mistakes now.  However, he doesn't pander to the jinx fairy believers.  If a Dodgers pitcher is throwing a no hitter, he'll tell you.

The jinx is why the Nats have had two no-hitters since the last Dodgers' no-hitter.     :mg:

Mets just took a 4-2 lead so this is now an absolute must win.  Which be definition means the Nats will wet the bed and soil their unis.

I'm having trouble getting this "must win" concept.

We have 52 games left, perhaps you could list which of them are "must" wins and which aren't, so I can plan my attendance around the key games?

So I'm told.  But if we win the division by 15 games, then they weren't all must wins after all, were they?

It's close to a must win tonight since they will be facing Kershaw and Greinke the next two nights.  If they lose tonight it would be vey easy to take a 4 game losing streak into SF.

Sure, but no problem, then we face the hapless Rockies.
