Pretty good game.    Arsenal's flurried at the end   ...   LC earned a draw but   ....   I don't think the ball was in Arsenal's end for the last 10 minutes or more.

Why don't I like Arsonbanger (Arsenal manager)?

Just got back from an eye doctor appointment. Not easy to see the TV after having those eyes dilated. Looks like 0-0.

Watching a little of the CP/Liverpool game.   They have this drummer in the stands who won't quit.   It's continuous.   It's like a United game or a Cleveland Indians game in the 70s.

They would be only the third team from outside the "big four" to win in the modern era (which really should be called the "big five" with Man City).

Who were the others?  What is considered the modern era?

The "Premier League" goes back to 1992, and during that time the only non "big four" (Man U/Liverpool/Arsenal/Chelski) teams that won the championship were Blackburn Rovers (a 'flash in the pan' powerhouse on the way down, think '97 or '03 Marlins) and Man City a couple years ago (by which time they had been pumped full of emirati oil money and become the biggest, baddest nouveau riche on the block).

Wasn't West Ham pretty good back in the day?    Leeds also comes to mind.

Yeah - they're pretty good now. But Leicester is the first real underdog in the era of the £££ premier league to make a credible run.  They (West Ham) move into Olympic stadium next year I guess.

I went to Leeds' exhibition match against DC United back in DCU's first or second season at RFK.  Leeds was on their way down down down and DCU was the dominant MLS team at the time. Funny how fortunes change.

When I was a kid (ahem), I used to try to follow the League.    When England won the crown in '66, I was in the middle of my soccer frenzy.    I grew up in an ethnically diverse town and the old guys played soccer every Sunday.    Followed it locally in college.   Had season tickets to the Dips.     :)      There was a long spell where my interest was in passing.    Most of my soccer during this time was at the local fields and the 2nd grade league.    :)      When FOX started doin' the weekend games (FiOS HD), I discovered it again.    Throw in Wednesday's too?      Now I can watch Russian, German, Brazilian, Spainish, Italian, etc. Leagues as well   ....  Love it.    I'll occasionally watch the Mexican leagues in Spanish.    I haven't taken Spanish since the '60s.    :)

Having pretty much the full schedule on TV has been a game changer.  I've really enjoyed Bundesliga and Serie A as well. The French league is still a bit too unbalanced (PSG's ass reaming of Troyes was just painful to watch).

I enjoy the studio shows too.    Helps fill in some of the empty spaces in my soccer/football knowledge.

Belgium's odds in Euro '16 just took a hit.
