no one is giddy. I am laughing at the ridiculous statement that the Nats are going to be dominant. Jon Niese isn't pitching tonight.

maybe they should have gone with Niese.

Finally a break for us, literally :hysterical:

Jeeze did we get lucky there. And FP's got it right, this is a team of good hitters, they're just stupid and always going for the home run or the double instead of a single, even a line drive.

As evidenced by Desi's first swing.

Exactly. Felt like Rendon's been swinging for the fences too, despite his good ABs they end with long flies or strikeouts.

If his core is still week that's probably it.  Doesn't yet have all of his power back.  Needs to make the adjustment, though.

The catcher in that emotion is smiling. But no analogy is perfect.

This is a chance for Ross to make a statement about how he can handle pressure situations.

Yeah and his timing/eye probably isn't perfect either, not barreling up the balls, hitting 'em just off the end, a little late. But if that's the case he's gotta just take his singles until the strength etc comes back. Oh well, he's trying at least and having good ABs.

Yeah, 'cause striking out McCutchen three times wasn't hard enough. ;)
