That's not true Spidey.  But the Nats had too great a lead for a save

A reliever can get a save for three innings of relief regardless of score.

Every win feels like a steal with this line up. I know they have Escobar and Rendon back but this was their first game back.

But BIL - isn't this the pitching performance you thought would occur all season ?

Tying run to the on-deck circle, correct?

Pitching has not really been the problem with this team. Yea, the SP is not historically great like some idiots were proclaiming but it's been ok. Inconsistent hitting and a bad bullpen has been the issue. I think the hitting will be fine once they get everybody back. But the pen I'm still not sure about. I think Rizzo needs to make a move or two.

Hope Rendon isn't back on the DL tomorrow.

Ray Knight agrees with you BIL.  Rivero looked really good to me and we didn't use Storen

I'm disappointed the Nats aren't having a stadium fleece give away when the Padres are in town.

If a reliever pitches at least three innings (and finishes the game) and his team wins, the margin does not matter. that pitcher gets credited with a save. Roark would've gotten a save if he had pitched one more inning even though the Nats were leading by 6 runs.

That's not true Spidey.  But the Nats had too great a lead for a save

What a moron!

If he pitches the final three innings of a win, he gets a save, regardless of the size of the lead.
