yeah i share similar luck.

That said, I had a feeling once I'd bang Katy Perry, it never happened

I'm still holding out on that dream. Maybe one day.

Or...I'd give that up for a WVU Mountaineers football or basketball championship.

For a Nats World Series Championship--I'd give up my dream of banging Anna Kendrick.

I actually almost see it the opposite...like he's so insecure and wants to look as good/better than others have in the past (I bet you anything he was thinking about Stanton's feature and not Prince Fielder's!)

Oh yea I totally think he wanted to look better than anyone ever has and was willing to go to those extreme measures so he would but to me it just goes along with Bryce wanting to be the best, he seems more arrogant than insecure to me but who knows, I generally suck at reading people lol

There's a very thin line between the two; sometimes they're one in the same.

I know a guy in her band.  He's obsessed with the Giants, but he's a nice dude, and fun to talk baseball with.  He always watches baseball on his phone on tour.

Bryce Harper is already the #2 most valuable Nationals hitter of all time.

By FanGraphs WAR

1. Ryan Zimmerman, 33.4
2. Bryce Harper, 15.7
3. Ian Desmond, 14.9
4. Jayson Werth, 12.1
5. Nick Johnson, 10.9
6. Danny Espinosa, 9.6
7. Denard Span, 8.8
8. Anthony Rendon, 8.2
9. Wilson Ramos, 7.2
10. Ryan Church, 6.6
(LaRoche #12, Alfonso Soriano #13, Livan Hernandez ranked #25 among hitters for hitting)

So it's pretty safe to say that by the end of his stint here in 2018, Harper will have the highest WAR of any National. What about Expos?

I think there is some of that.  Stanton is a very handsome guy, and Harper seems to have been absent when they were handing out good looks.  He has a homely face and compensates by having a great body.

I mean it just seems odd that someone who (theoretically) doesn't drink caffeine, alcohol, and whatever else Mormons restrict themselves from to keep "pure" would be okay essentially dehydrating and starving their body like that.
You don't really believe that propaganda about Harper, do you?  Start with sex. Do you believe that there is any possibility that he isn't bagging women? I think there is no possibility whatsoever.  Given that, the other things fall by the wayside.

I'm not a nutritionist, but the body needs variety, and drinking just juice and spitting out water doesn't seem healthy to me.
There is nothing about competitive body building that is supposed to promote goof health.

The potato thing is just weird!

I'm still scratching my head over that. There are pros and cons of eating raw potatoes, but I tried to do a bit of research and found nothing that supports his theory.

Yea, Bryce didn't do this for health. He did it because he wanted to look amazing in the magazine. Essentially, by denying the body sugar and water, you're preventing it from converting anything in to fat. This gives your body's muscles enhanced definition and that vein popping look.

Best before and after cut pics I could find. Don't get me wrong, on the pic on the left's he's clearly got muscles. But the pic on the right shows exactly what denying food and water get you. More muscular definition. More veins popping. A more cut figure.

It's ironic, but when a body builder is competing on stage, he/she is at their weakest due to this cut.

Long as hes hitting I don't really care what he does. He could eat cinnabons all day if he's gonna hit 40+ bombs on a .350 average.

The number to beat for franchise history is 53.8 - Gary Carter. Tim Raines and Andre Dawson are above 40. Ryan Zimmerman's #6 and if he produces this August-September he will pass Vlad. (#4 is Tim Wallach.)

Steve Rogers is the only pitcher worth more than 25 WAR in franchise history. If Strasburg returns to form this year and produces a Cy Young season next year, he has a shot at being #2. Scherzer is a legit threat to be #2 ever, also.

As for Harper, he has 3.5 years to produce 38.2 WAR for the franchise all-time record. That would require nonstop 11-win seasons. But if his 2016, 2017, and 2018 are worth just 6 WAR each, he'd be ranked #4.

In the example on the right the dude looks a lot smaller in overall size. Even though the camera angles/distance from camera are aprox. the same in both photos. Wow I didn't know that denying the body of water thing. Thanks for the visual example.

Sports Center reliving the Storen draft pick and how we could have had Bruce and Mike in the same outfield...

He didn't choke on the big stage in San Fran last year. It's the only one that counts.
Bryce fails us in the All Star Game. Chokes on the big stage. Again.

In fairness, like twenty teams passed on Trout. And Storen has been a pretty damn good Closer(at least in the regular season).

Also, wasn't Trout awful last October?

Serious question. Trade Harper for Goldschmidt in fantasy? I love Harper but I think Goldy has the better second half.
