Right.  He's at his best when he takes the walks that are offered.  He's scored quite a few runs this year after walking (mindfact) and it results in him seeing better pitches when the intent is not to walk him.  Think of Bonds at his best, he was an on-base machine in no small part because of his willingness to take a walk in almost any circumstance.
