Chocolate Thunder--Darryl Dawkins. Viewing will be on the Planet Lovetron.
Wow ....
he's basically my age--not sure what happened but they plan an autopsy.
He came right out of HS. I'm a little older () but he had an impact on the NBA. Broke a few rims and shattered a few backboards in his day.
Never became the player they expected but he had lots of fun and enjoyed himself immensely; kind of the anti-Kwame Brown
Dawkins probably had a better compliment of players around him. Plus, he didn't have to suffer the Jordan demaning.
DR J; McGinnis, Lloyd (World B) Free; lots of guys who liked to score (on and off the court) so he really didn't need to shoot much. I forget when he left the Sixers but no he was gone and Moses had arrived by the time they won in 83. Kobe's dad was on the team then also.
