Robinson could've bunted that softly to third and made it on.

Their replacements wouldn't be better. It's MASN and the Nats making them blow smoke.

I doubt MASN tells that waterhead Carpenter to talk about the Cardinals.  And it's not MASN that makes him make observations about baseball ranging from the asinine to the simply incorrect.  For a man who has watched so much baseball for so long, it's incredible that he still appears to know the square root of f*** all about it.

I think you're crediting his knowledge a little too much. That said he still knows more about baseball than MW

Williams would do better as a football coach.  Lots of grunting, and if something doesn't work, just keep doing it over and over until the season's over.  Changing anything strategically would be admitting you're weak or made a mistake, and that is a fate worse than death.

I'd be fine with that if we had any pinch hitters who could, you know, hit.  As is you might as well leave JZ in for all it matters.

Under .250 this year, and he's at .125 as a pinch hitter.  On this team, that makes him the next DiMaggio, but that's pretty bad for a lot of places.

I said some of our pitchers can bunt some of the time. Maybe I should have specifically said JZimm could.
