That's inconclusive either way. Sure, it may look like his foot hadn't compressed the bag, but how do they really know. Hopefully they are watching synchronised shots, otherwise there is nothing to overturn the call on the field.

You couldn't see the other side of his foot.  If any part of any one of his cleats touched the base then he was on the base and you couldn't see that from that angle.
