How did you keep from killing him?

I still say "Welcome to the Cardinals!" in any sort of situation where you're getting boned and have no control of it whether people have heard that story or not. Truly a defining moment of my life.

Ya think he does that to SF Giants fans?  I doubt it--they are the ones that have had the magic the past few years not the Cards.

It might have made you gag, but you should have said your AL team was the Red Sox and said how everyone back home praised the Cards fans in 2004 for being so friendly and respectful after Game 4.

True. One less Card fan would be nice. Of course would be best if it was Joe Buck.

However, I'm kind of fond of Bob Carpenter.

My favorite shtick with Orioles fans is to say that I like the Red Sox because of the underdog angle/story. I wish I could document facial reactions to that one.

I don't hate the Sox, I vacationed in Cape Cod every summer as a kid, did Cape League baseball camps and watched the Red Sox a lot. Honestly I'm not sure how I didn't end up a Red Sox fan, my brother was until we got the Nats here.

I followed players more than teams and just liked baseball in general.

Bill Murray is the coolest cat alive. For real, bartends and only serves shots of tequila regardless of order. Shows up at random parties. Love him.

He used to be a principal owner of the Charleston Riverdogs, not sure if he still is.  Beautiful park out on the edge of a marsh, great setting.

He's a part owner of the St Paul Saints and I've seen him around St Paul a couple of times.  I'm pretty sure he was at the Internet Cat Video Festival at CHS Field (the Saints awesome new stadium in downtown St Paul).
