Ah, forget about it.

No he did. But then he decided to say freak his approach and swing like a mad man.

I mean, he wouldn't be in this place if two years ago he had actually dedicated himself in the off season to developing an approach and swinging to make contact. Instead, after 2012, he figured freak it, I'm going to murder every ball. I'm going to just swing hard and harder.
