Let's give it a few more years.
He is a free agent after next season. I see no reason to offer him an extension this offseason. I guess you can offer him arbitration and hope he does well in his "contract year".

Pretty scary to think that we have no catcher in the system close to the Majors and Ramos is gone after this season. I wonder what Rizzo's plans are here. This team could be really ugly after 2016.

Kieboom will be in AA most likely next year.  I wouldn't be surprised to see him be a AA-bigs jump

There is no excuse for an effort this poor against a team this bad.

You're now quoting your own posts and contradicting yourself (when the person you were debating was being sarcastic in any event).  He's an FA after NEXT season.

Braves bullpen has been crap after starting the season well. So of course they'll shut us down.

I said next season, yes. We need catching depth.

Not sold on Kieboom and Severino being starting caliber.

Kieboom has done a great job of making contact this season but his power has fallen off a cliff. Haven't heard much about his defense.

Desmond's faster than Robinson so that wasn't the worst trade. Of course, the better trade would be Desmond to Japan.

And you said this season.  I'm not sold on Kieboom ever making the majors. 24, doing OK in high-A, already too fat.

The power will come.  The 29/22 BB/K ratio is what is ultra important.  OBP machine which I will take from a catcher any day.

EDIT: he's also hitting more balls in the air, which is good.

Agreed. Need to swing a trade for a young catcher. Or break the bank for Wieters after this season??
