Just got home. Zimmermann had one of the luckiest pitching performances I've ever seen. Liners and flies all over the yard. The Nats seemed to have everything fortuitous going for them tonight. It's about time.  :)

The 9-run first inning against Pittsburgh was the luckiest inning i've seen a ballclub have in a long time.

Yes! Two hours later, and the Nats have still won a 2 - 1 extra-inning game on a Harper double, Ramos IBB, Clint Robinson gutsy walk, and a solid sac fly by King Ian Desmond.

Nice touch that Desmond mentioned Randy Knorr in the post-game.

Remember when the Braves had our #? Oh how the tables turn...

I'm not worried about Storen. He was due to blow a save at some point.

A few years ago EVERYONE had our #. I am so GLAD that table has turned.

How was the atmosphere - like a Saturday (10,000+ drunk college kids all over the place) or a bit more civilised? Sounded like a dumb idea handing out those chairs (cf the sofa-burnings at Maryland basketball matches) - were any of them thrown?

[wouldn't have gone last night for anything]
