Roark would have had a complete game shutout but for Johnny Holliday in the booth.

What is schizo?

All the top teams in the league have the top ranked bullpens.

How many more games are are we going to let this bull pen lose?

Mark Zuckerman        ✔ @ZuckermanCSN

3rd straight day #Nats starter has left in 7th after giving up tying or go-ahead run. Lack of reliable setup men forcing MW to push starters

Roark clearly didn't have his "A" game.  Williams left him in too long.  But then the bullpen is also unreliable, so even if he took him out earlier, who knows how many runs the Pen would have given up?  It seemed like such a winnable game.

Right now, there is no bullpen. Rizzo guess that the Nats would be OK with Storen, Stammen, and Roark, plus Thornton and Janssen pitching an inning on veteran smarts, plus Barrett and Treinen improving. Stammen was hurt and Roark got pulled back to starting because Fister and Strasburg got hurt. That leaves only Storen: the one trustworthy bullpen arm. Anyone else if a wish, a hope, and a possible gascanrahan.

The one central mistake: to assume that nobody would get hurt and that Treinen and Barrett, because of their "stuff", could be the next Clippard / Storen.

Still no explanation for the Blevins<->den Dekker trade.

Blevins for den Dekker will never make sense.

I liked it at the time because den Dekker has five years of team control. But that's irrelevant if he can't even hit at AAA.
