Rhett Wiseman, OF, Vanderbilt, left/right

MLB.com:
One of Vanderbilt's best performers in Omaha as it won the 2014 College World Series, Wiseman has had a solid junior season and should be the next Commodore picked after Dansby Swanson, Carson Fulmer and Walker Buehler go in the first round. He doesn't have a carrying tool but does a little bit of everything and plays with intensity. Wiseman's most useful tool is probably his average power. After going homerless as a sophomore, he led Vanderbilt with 12 homers during the 2015 regular season. He needs to guard against selling out for homers, because his swing gets long and he struggles to make contact when he does. An average runner with a fringy arm, Wiseman plays right field for the Commodores but fits better in left field as a pro. He doesn't always take direct routes on flyballs yet has a knack for making dramatic catches.

David Laurila, FanGraphs:
"his academic credentials are every bit as impressive as his tools"

"His athleticism is off the charts, but his game is less-than-polished."

Ranked #107 on Kiley McDaniel's board. Projected 50 scouting scores across the board (currently in the 20s for hitting categories).
