Tanner needs to steal home if he wants to score.

why are they all swinging as if Wada is throwing 98 and not 89-90? pretty pathetic.

People say the same thing about Zimmerman so the back end of our lineup will be crowded.

This game was lost by our complete offensive ineptitude in the last two innings.

Ugh, sac bunting with span, a 320 hitter to get Dessie a shot? We might get a run out of this but I hate that decision

Agreed.  Matt is definitely old school in that he's willing to give up outs to advance runners, even if logic (the numbers) would dictate otherwise.

I would've slammed my bat on the ground and got ejected.
Wish Desmond would have.

And now Roark has to go back out and pitch after standing in the field for the entire inning.  This isn't going to end well.

I'd have slotted Roark in at the five slot today tbh

For getting called out looking on two bullcrap calls? He would probably be better protection for Harper at 5, though.

He swings at crap and watches close ones go by. His job there is to hit a fly ball to the outfield and get the run home. He is terrible at it.

I don't mind sac bunting in certain situations depending on the game, score, etc., but you're sacrificing a better hitter for a worse hitter, seems counter intuitive to me

People would have been much happier had he grounded out softly to 3rd on both of those pitches off the plate.

I'm guessing he did it because it was a lefty-lefty matchup and despite his homer, he didn't have a lot of confidence in Span not grounding out to second.

The question there though is why can't Desmond have consistently more good at bats?

Solid inning from Roark. Get the man a lead.

Lol then why have him lead off at all? If you don't trust your lead off man to get a hit, what are we even doing here?
