Yep. Trails only Papi I think.

Wikipedia says

Jim Thome   13   1991–02, 2011 (Cleveland Indians), 2003–05, 2012 (Philadelphia Phillies) 2006–09 (Chicago White Sox), 2009 (Los Angeles Dodgers), 2010-11 (Minnesota Twins), 2012 (Baltimore Orioles)
Jimmie Foxx   12   1925–35 (Philadelphia Athletics), 1936–42 (Boston Red Sox), 1942, 1944 (Chicago Cubs), 1945 (Philadelphia Phillies)
Mickey Mantle   12   1951–68 (New York Yankees)
Stan Musial   12   1941–44, 1946–63 (St. Louis Cardinals)
Frank Robinson   12   1956–65 (Cincinnati Reds), 1966–71 (Baltimore Orioles), 1972 (Los Angeles Dodgers), 1973–74 (California Angels), 1974–76 (Cleveland Indians)
Babe Ruth   12   1914–19 (Boston Red Sox), 1920–34 (New York Yankees), 1935 (Boston Braves)

Reachable, though. Also this is surprisingly hard to research on the internet.

To face Harper.

This is the only reason I can think.  It's utterly stupid to use your closer in a tie game on the road IMO.  Now if they need him tomorrow he's coming off 20+ pitches and a B.

Imagine this team when we get a healthy Rendon back.

Are we getting more fans from Canada or is it the same poster under different names?

Is that Zim's 10th walkoff HR?

Yes. Zim has more walk-offs than any player over the last ten years.

So better to keep him on the bench?

How about this - get your best reliever innings, lots of them, in the most possible high leverage opportunities you can.  Don't save them for the moment that may never come.

Woah Tom, let's not go crazy. We wouldn't want to ruin the Save stat, after all.

:-[  Sorry, you're right of course.   I keep forgetting to put the team's interests ahead of players' stats.

From now on, should call RF foul pole the Zimmerman Pole to honor his walk off history.

Not to mention the NYY middle-relief guys have been very weak as of late. Other than Miller they had a rookie in Pinder and Esmil Rogers available. Go with your big gun and hope you get a lead soon.

Isn't it true that before the save stat, teams would bring in their best relievers when the situation got real bad and there were runners on base that needed to be stranded?
