In all these years, I don't remember seeing a home-plate umpire knocked out. Now twice in this season working Nats' games. Ugly foul-tip.

I think the umps and the trainers are being smarter about it now. I am sure that's part of it.

True, but in this case, the guy was definitely seeing stars. That had to be a concussion.
