Not quite.  Saving out(s) and scoring another run or 2 in the eighth inning is good for the probability of winning after the ninth.

You could have just typed "never mind, I was wrong" rather than saying the entire debate was pointless, which it wasn't.  Having three runners remove themselves from scoring position in a one-run with very little effort by the opposition is something worthy of being debated, especially when at least two of the three were caused by completely unnecessary mental errors (although those may well have been the 3B coach, not the runners in one case in particular).
