he's nervous.  Do no other pitchers get nervous?  If a pitcher form another team was making his debut against the Nats he would dominate.

Can't be the opposing crowd making him nervous since I can't imagine more than 3,000 people are there.

Almost all guys making their debuts are nervous. Dude's nervous. It's normal.

A lot of relievers are very nervous their first times out.
