Ken Rosenthal @Ken_Rosenthal
Most logical explanation is that #Brewers were uncomfortable with Wheeler’s medical coming off Tommy John. Players were agreed upon.

Rosenthal backpedaling. The Brewers like everyone else knew long ago of Wheeler's TJ surgery.

Get out. Now. Not funny. NANF. I would root for a soccer team before the Atlanta Braves. I'd damn near root for the Dallas Cowgirls before the Atlanta Braves.

Looks like the Brewers got cold feet over Wheeler's physical.

Yep, you don't see Woj going off half-cocked with NBA news, he made a meal of it.

The deal was dead within hours of being reported and while one team was playing, nobody had a physical.

Maybe there was something about Wheeler's condition that caused them to back out?  Apparently Gomez was notified he was traded pending physicals.

They wouldn't put informing players ahead of making a final decision, he was notified by twitter like everyone else.
