Avoiding Pineda and Tanaka really helps the Nats. Eovaldi has been pretty good as of late but is prone to getting hit. Warren is better as a reliever than a starter.

The NYY middle-relief is rough right now (no one pitching well) but the 8th and 9th innings are completely locked down, so if the Nats are down late they will be in trouble.

Facing the NYY lineup will be a really good test for Gio and AJ.

I was saying the same thing. I see that I have to work on my phrasing. I just meant we'd be looking through our rearview.

We also know him quite well from his time with Miami.  He has a career 2-4 record with a 4.76 ERA against us in 7 games.

Yes and we were World Series ready last year.  (The playoffs are a crapshoot.)  If we handle them as easily this season then I'll say we are maybe as good as last year.

I am a Phillies fan but no way they can keep it up. They will regress as expected. Started last night. Franco at 3b could be the real deal but they need lots of pieces. Some good pitching prospects in double A.

It's amazing how all four of those teams can refuse to lose so much, despite the weighted schedule which features them constantly playing one another so much.
