I saw issues with Stras 2 years ago.....yet we continue to drink the koolaid.  This kid pif a weakling head case.  and now the whole fn world knows, and he's worthless.

Very few people still drink Stras Kool-Aid.

I don't think the Nats groomed him in the right way FWIW.

Seriously, Strasburg's been treated like a goddamn king (some would say princess).

Ian Desmond owes me $2,000 for 2 strikeouts and going 0 for 4.

Ryan Zimmerman owes me $2,000 for 1 strikeout, going 0 for 4, while getting the big contract and being the Face of the franchise.

Stephen Strasburg owes me $2,000 for 4 earned runs allowed in 6 innings pitched.

Cal Ripken Jr owes me $2,000 for repeatedly appearing in annoying TV commercials, and for being a retired Oriole.

Really? Making the Gooden mistake and telling him to pitch to contact. Not putting a boot up his ass two years ago when he was whining about mound conditions, icy hot on his jock strap, etc.

Stras still only flashes killer instinct. It's not often there in big moments. In a playoff series I would want any other pitcher on the mound over him. Same as last year.

Zimmermann gets lit up and nothing. Fister, Gio. Same thing but nothing is said about them being duds.

Why is Strasburg so much worse than Harvey? It is incredible. The Nats get hosed again.

Strasburg is a mental midget that has been coddled his entire professional career.  He has no balls and has probably never had his ass chewed out by anyone in the Nats organization. Not saying he needs some one to go Dibble on him but he needed his ass kicked years ago. He's the anti Madison Bumgardner.

Reminds me of the comments John Thompson made about Chris Webber.     It applies here as well,  "When he was six years old, no one ever told him to shut the hell up a sit down."

Zimmermann and Fister were better and more mature than Strasburg last year. Both have lower ceilings. Both are better in big moments.

Gio isn't in the same convo IMO.

In what world were Zimmermann and Fister better than Strasburg last year? If Strasburg didn't have the lowest run support in the NL he would have been a 20 game winner who led the NL in strikeouts and probably in the Cy Young hunt.

This constant chatter of him being mentally weak and not big in key situations is absurd. I haven't heard such garbage from a fanbase in some time.

You are 100% correct . The people here have to blame someone and it seems to always be Strasburg. I don't get it.

I don't think Stras was even the problem today really. We just CAN'T/WON'T hit! giving up 4 over six is not great, but if it going to be one of those years where we average around 3 runs a gun, that's just not going to work! We're 24th in runs scored right now, just above the White Sox and Houston. I am SURE that things will turn around, but wow, it is a frustrating thing to watch right now... Happy to be be recording games so i can just fast forward through the Nats ABs... Also note that through the season thus far the Nats ERA is 3rd, behind STL and NYM.... That's quite a discrepancy that BEGS to be rectififed...
