How about a Waste Management dumpster fire patch for the Nats?

Some might remember when refuse company BFI was a constant in-game sponsor of the Bullets, though that was back when they were good:

Wonder if Terra is trying to escape the deal?

Brings up thought of another easy revenue producer. Naming the stadium. Which for whatever reason they have never done. I think for the Nats this just helps them make up some of the lost ground with the MASN deal.
IIRC, the deal had them pay up front.

Reminds me of when "American Pest" was the Caps' in-game sponsor (which was amusing whenever someone like Jarkko Ruutu or Sean Avery ended up in the box).

That was the report from the Post, which sounds great for the team, but that does sound unusual that anyone would pay for a five year deal up front in advance. Early reports questioned whether payment was in USD or Terra bucks, if a lump sum initial payment was made it would not surprise me if it was in crypto.

They should have collected in Stanley nickels.

Pepto Bismol or Maalox would be good for a Nats patch also.

Apologies if this is the wrong place to ask, but have any of you season plan holders heard from your reps whether or not they're planning on giving us any complimentary spring training tickets this year? Our rep says there are no plans as of right now, but I'd like to know for sure before I plunk down $100+ on a pair of seats.

So another STH benefit reduced.  Brilliant!

Since April 6, I got one email from my ticket rep in late October mentioning that on November 15, I couldn’t keep my same seats if I didn’t renew by then. Then I got automated messages to that effect until the 15th. Since then, silence.

Which exit should we pray for? WTOP article has an interview with one area resident who says it’s gotten worse and I stay away from that block.

The only thing I'd say is that, when games or concerts are going on, there may be such a big presence of security and crowds that it is tougher to get a clear target and escape route. OTOH, if the remedy to that is spray everything, good luck.

The ticket reps are really hit or miss. Our current rep puts together an email newsletter about once a month and usually gets back to us within a day or two, but I've had some pretty lousy reps in the past as well.

I'm not sure what would make that particular block stand out, but the whole neighborhood can be uncomfortably quiet at night during the week when there's not much going on.

I got an automatic top up on my eCash on 1/1, which is weird because I thought they kind of went away from the whole card and balance thing last year (my eCash credits flowed through after each purchase, then the last $5 was wiped out 1/1).  Anyone else charged?

Opening day tickets on sale to SPHs on 23 January and this year you can buy a boatload of extras...methinks the front office fears the optics of lots of empty seats.

Better to buy them now for $193 and take advantage of the 30% plan holder discount than pay $275 plus fees when they go on sale to the general public.

I think that I'll buy the cheapest seats as I'm standing in the security line. Then look to see which rows of seats behind the dugout went unsold and head on down.

Hoping for the Veblen effect to kick in is one hell of a business model for a crap team in a fickle market  :clown:
