That "service cat" loophole could be pretty big.

Thank God there’s this at least.

Fans are not permitted to bring cats or other animals to Nationals Park in connection with this special event. An exception will be made for service animals and service animals in-training for the disabled.

With the gravel lot closed, is there a good spot to tailgate in any of the other parking areas? Will the gravel lot open again at some point?

The gravel lot is gone and never coming back. There is another lot further down in Buzzard Point that is good for tailgating, but nothing with a tailgating scene. That has been replaced by the various open air bars.

I miss the old Pepco lot where Audi Field now sits. It was relatively cheap and they let you grill and hang out drinking beers for as long as you wanted. The only bad part was walking to/from the ballpark, where there was little in the way of pedestrian safety features.

people tailgate in the Yards parking lot next to the 1B side of the park, but there's not a lot of room there.

It's also a nag to get out of there after the game...

Cats have service humans, not the other way around.

As long as all the critters are on leashes.

Lot 147? I think I've parked there once. So they are ok with you drinking in lawn chairs and that sort or just indifferent?

Did the Phillies game on June 24th get moved to Sunday night game? This is really annoying, especially with the Metro. It actively punished the season ticket holders.

Yep, ESPN picked it up as Sunday Night Baseball. Extra stupid because it’s a kids Max Scherzer eye patch giveaway and an 8pm game sucks for little kids. But MLB lets ESPN call the shots. Only the Yankees have really ever been successful in saying no and that was just because their schedule already sucked (play Sunday then travel for a Monday double header).

As a season ticket holder, though, you can just exchange it. The single game buyers are hosed because they don’t have that option.

The problem is I don’t really want more tickets since I’ve got a ticket to all the games. I know I can pick up another game and sell mine, but i would honestly rather just go to the Sunday afternoon game.

It’s not a major complaint, just a minor annoyance.

Trade it for two more to a game you’re going to, and take some friends.

Oh, I got you.  I was really addressing my comment to Gburg, who's in my group so I know he has gaps in coverage.

You’ve seen my behavior on this board. It should be clear I have no friends....

Can't say I'm a friend of bluestreak

He's never bought me a beer.

I am friends with Aspenbubba, Mathguy, Blue911, DCFan, Kevrock, Gburghnatsfan, Saltydad and many others.

All of whom have purchased beers for me

Great article. Thanks for posting. Has been a few years since I have been to a game so it's remarkable to see what has happened.

Displacing the poor is a common problem to any urban development.  You basically just price them out of the area. And the traffic!

It really is an awesome place to visit now. Tons of good restaurants.
