I've never had a pizza from Colony Grill, but they look good, if you like that thin crust, tavern-style of pizza. Should be a welcome alternative to the sad slices they've been serving at the ballpark for many years.

They had those churros and smash burgers at the SPH event back in January and I thought they were both really good. I'm also curious about which vendors won't be back this season. I can think of one or two that seemed to never be busy, even during well attended games.

And it seems like just one solitary Tweeter (Eat DC) covered it live. Pretty emblematic of the sad state of local media when in past years you'd have half a dozen people Tweeting or live blogging it.

I was wondering about the lack of coverage, did they not invite anyone else or did only one outlet show up.

Today, Mayor Bowser introduced the DC Hospitality Amendment Act. One of the provisions:

Enables District sports venues to obtain a commercial lifestyle license to sell alcoholic beverages in outdoor public spaces during special events requiring a street closure.

I take that to mean that Nats can sell alcohol outside stadium on game days (since they close Half Street). Thoughts?

They have that in Pittsburgh, where you can buy drinks outside of the ballpark. That legislation also mentions brew pubs, the Red Porch area was originally intended to be a brew pub that would remain open year round.

i miss the days of coaching t-ball and trying to get kids not to throw the ball at the runner to get him/her out (which if you think about it, makes perfect sense).

Was legal (back in the day) playing kickball on baseball fields.  If you hit some kid in the head, better knock him silly or he's coming after your ass fists up!       :|     :run:

I wonder if they’re ever going to do anything with the shuttered sports book space by the center field gates.

Can you place bets on its future at polymarket or kalshi?

Caps added a meatball parm. Opposite Capos at Field of Greens is Eatopia vegan. Have a vegan Italian grinder,  nachos,  but most of the stuff rotates.

Still have the Ben's stand in CF on flower level. It looks like they went into the place that's next Roamin Rooster on the next level, too

Sunday might rain a little bit, any idea if section 135 rows NN and PP are under cover? A: Yes, yes they are.
