Looks like tomorrow's concert announcement for Nats Park will be Elton John's farewell tour, presumably sometime next summer because the tour itinerary has a big gap then. WMATA posted an ad for the announcement on a bus shelter and it's made the rounds on Twitter.

I'd heard years ago that John is terrible with managing money - lavish lifestyle, no spending discipline, so he NEEDED to work to maintain that.  Will be interesting to see if we hear about financial difficulties or if he doesn't stay off the road.

I watched his million dollar piano concert on AXS a couple of years ago. His voice is gone.

Saw him in Charlottesville...2010, I think.  Saw him before that in Illinois...1972, I think...

Geeze, he's old...

It says the Amex presale starts at noon. It'd be nice to see a pricing chart in advance of that time.

Wow, I didn't realize it was 2022, I just assumed this year. It seems odd to put them on sale so far in advance.

I’ve noticed lots of concerts going on sale for 2022. Great to get that $ a year or more in advance.

Whatever happened to the days when Nats season ticket holders got priority on tickets to concerts at Nats Park?  I'm pretty sure I got in early for a couple Springsteen concerts there.

It will take at least 15 months to get his wardrobe here

I got great seats for Bonnie Raitt and James Taylo via my season ticket priority.

Heads up, Nats say Geico Garage is closed tonight. Pass holders should go to a garage C but may be directed to other lots.

Same here. Maybe they’re dealing with the same staffing shortages so many other places are facing.

Both garages look like they have cars in them from my view in the 300s.

Don’t park at 100M (last night it was $30). The main entrance is blocked by construction, so we entered the 80M entrance on the corner of first and L. When you leave the garage, the elevator takes you to a lobby on M.

However after the game, the lobby was closed. We walked back to the entrance on L to find the doors down. Fortunately they opened for an exiting car as we walked up so we were able to walk in and go to our car. Upon leaving the attendant told us the garage closed already even though the spot hero app said it was open until 11:05pm.

As we pulled out of the garage there were about 20 people outside trying to figure out how to get in.

We’ve parked here numerous times without issue in the past.

Did they ever re-open The Venue Formerly Known As The Red Porch? I always liked that place.

We REALLY need some more beer vendors in the 300 level. This season you're lucky to see one twice during the entire game. The selection at most of the regular stands up there is basically Bud Light, Stella and Goose IPA. District Drafts stand is long gone. At least the roving venders usually have some Flying Dog.

WS merch is heavily marked down...I picked up a couple of WS 2019 coozies for $2.50 that fit the big cans of Hazy and Sea Quench, a very timely acquisition given the ambient temperature at yesterday's game.

Back in 2019 in the 300's we often didn't get more than one visit from a roving beer vendor. (I thought they had stopped doing roving vendors this season altogether, in order to maintain 'contactless delivery'.)

The District Drafts stand over by 304-ish is still there, it shifted locations slightly.  Where it used to be is a normal InBev stand, it's now tucked next to one of the upper deck stairs perpendicular to the flow of traffic.  Not hard to miss if you are coming from the CF direction.

I hate they did away with the electronic signs telling you which actual beer is being poured from each brewery (good luck asking an attendant for that info).  You have to pull up the menu from the QR code, and I'm about 50/50 on actually being served what the app said was being poured.  Granted, that isn't really different from years past, you just have to work harder now for the same incorrect data  :D

I don't have a qr reafer on my chesp android phone and am not motivated to figure out a good one to download.  I just skip the stands that only let you using qr codes. Ican still use ecash and flash an qr on my phone at registers and can order off my phone from many stands.
