This is cool, but where does one fill up on nitrogen?

https://robbreport.com/motors/motorcycles/segway-apex-h2-hybrid-hydrogen-electric-motorcycle-1234606435/

Everyone is just waiting for someone brilliant to solve the hydrogen storage problem. Once that happens, hydrogen is the answer. It's portable, contains lots of energy, can be "refined" using renewable energy, and allows for heavy duty vehicles to keep running ICE and avoid lugging around thousands of pounds of batteries.

But not sure how I'd feel in a vehicle with a fuel tank at 16,000 p.s.i behind the back seat.... ;)

Exactly. Storage is going to have to be done chemically. There's a group working on what is a swap-able box about the size of two milk crates that chemically stores hydrogen. Estimated 1,000 range from that device if I remember right.  "Swapping stations" could have you in and out in five minutes - they aren't heavy. There's no pressure inside them.

Ship Carrying 1,100 Porsches and Other Luxury Cars Is Burning and Adrift
A fire broke out Wednesday morning in the cargo hold of the ship, which departed from Emden, Germany, on Feb. 10 and was due to arrive in Davisville, R.I., on Wednesday.
A mammoth cargo ship believed to be carrying thousands of vehicles including 1,100 Porsches was on fire and drifting off the coast of the Azores on Thursday after its 22 crew members were rescued from the vessel.

The fire broke out on Wednesday morning in the cargo hold of the ship, called the Felicity Ace, which had departed from Emden, Germany, on Feb. 10 and was scheduled to arrive in Davisville, R.I., on Wednesday, according to a ship tracking website. The ship was about 200 miles from Terceira Island in the Azores, the Portuguese island territory, when Portuguese forces moved in on Wednesday to evacuate the crew.

No rescuers or crew members were injured in the “highly skilled and physically demanding” operation, which included a helicopter that whisked the crew members to the nearby Portuguese island of Faial, according to the authorities.

It was unclear how much of the 650-foot, 60,000-ton cargo ship’s inventory was lost in the fire and how the authorities would tend to the stricken ship. The shipping company could not immediately be reached.

MDS must be bumming.  I'm sure he had several Porsches on board that he bought with profits from shorting Pfizer and BioNtech.  Hopefully the heroin he was smuggling in the panels of those cars is salvageable, or else he's going to need to up the fentanyl when he cuts it.

a friend of a friend had his Porsche on that ship. The car is fine, but shipping is now delayed about two months.

Saying the car is fine seems awfully optimistic when other reports are that the fire went out because there was no combustible material left

I'm starting to think I heard wrong, the ship looked pretty much burned out. According to this, the LiON batteries are keeping the fire going and they can't use water to put the fire out.
