That's really cool.

When we visited Italy a few years ago we took a day to visit the Ferrari museum in Modena, and the Lamborghini museum outside of Bologna  Ferrari was definitely worth the stop, Lamborghini was not much more than a small showroom. However, Lamborghini offers factory tours but we didn't have time to take one.

Thinking the Cobra they're standing by is Aspenbubba's.

EDIT:  Upon further examination of the pic, I don't think that is his but he does have one.

I'm just a looker. That pic was at the R & M auction at the Arizona Biltmore designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. The car in the background is a Cobra but not mine.

53 years ago, I was in the grandstands with my father for the Indy 500...

4 years ago, I was able to drive a stock car on the IMS with the Richard Petty Driving Experience...my 12th speedway...and the last weekend RPDE would operate before merging with a far inferior program...

I have since retired from the sport...  ;)

Helio wins his 4th 500 in a very good race...

Roger Penske, who let him go 3 years ago, owns an Indy team, the Indy Series AND the Speedway.  Some humble pie to be eaten, methinks...

How fast did you go?

Only 135-ish...

The NASCAR cup cars generally go 180-ish at Indy, but they had set up cone gates to make you scrub off speed in the flat corners rather than put it into the fence.  I was disappointed as I had gotten up to 168 on the high banks at Daytona and expected similar speeds, but no such luck...

I drove the Mustang Mach E EV. It was very impressive. The thing screamed off the line. It was much better than I expected. With the extended battery at 300 Miles, it’s really compelling. I had no idea it would be so nice.
I had been looking at plug in hybrids. But I might go full EV. My wife has a Toyota RAV4 Prime plug in and lives it. It’s a really good car.

Drove the ID.4. Wife fell in love with it. Comfortable, quiet, stable. Would be a perfect highway car.

Unfortunately, I think cylindrical (read, Tesla) batteries are superior - pouch type cells just expand and contract more - hence the recent fires. It looks like SK Innovations is making the Ford battery at the moment. They make the Kia (but not the Hyundai) battery. It's the LG Chem batteries that have been en fuego in the Bolt and the Kona.

The biggest differentiator is still the Super Charger network.  So still undecided. We have a PHEV minivan for long trips, so maybe the VW makes sense.

Always quoted as "to 80%." About 35 minutes if you can find a 150KW charger (Electrify America).

15 hrs from 0 to 100 percent on a 240 volt home charger. On one of the Ford connected chargers it can go from 10 to 80 percent in 45 minutes.

Pretty sure I'm done with gasoline vehicles.  I may be done with car ownership, period, though EVs are pretty cool and you can't really rent them.

Kia dealer in Gaithersburg has '20 Niro EVs going for like $8K under MSRP. And they still qualify for the tax credit. Would be a very nice city car. Slow charging on the highway (like an hour from 10% to 80%, which is how you should charge it), but good 240V home charging rates and unreal efficiency off the highway. People report like 280 miles of range off the highway.

I'm amazed that anything is selling for less than MSRP right now - I shall investigate; thanks

Best of all, no battery fires. Super popular in Canada and Europe. Really nice car. (My wife wants the VW.)

Musk said a few days ago Tesla is going to open up super charger stations to other EVs, we'll see what happens.
