I looked at the 2016 Mazda MX-5...thought it looked pretty great when the first press releases came out, and it's design is a vast improvement over the first 25 years, but it seemed somewhat "tub-like" in person and kinda turned me off.  Didn't bother to take one for a test drive.

Besides...while I could likely get in, I'm not sure I'd be able to climb out of it...  ;)
Back still bothering me although not as bad.  Can barely get in and out of the car let alone something like that!

Over the last several weeks/months, I've been catching parts of a show on Velocity called "Cuban Chrome".    It's about keeping some of the older American cars in Cuba on the road.

Damnit I love Velocity. (PhantomWorks is my favorite). But I've missed Cuban Chrome every time.

It's on now.    :)    I'm not much of a gear head but I had buddies who owned/ran stations.   Always enjoyed hanging out.   One buddy has a three car garage at his house with a lift.   Worked on a lot of my cars and motorcycle there.    He showed me what to do.

Jubal Early made a run for it but the Yankees collared him a few hundred yards downstream.   :lmao:

River levels really shot up today, maybe just too much strain on the old cable system.

6th GGrandfather lived there (not far from you).    :)     He lived there in the mid-1700s.

I used to wade that area (just downriver around the islands) for smallmouth bass, till developers bought the farm and posted the river egress so they could keep the riffraff out from the McMansions they built.

Isn't Snyder around there?    Maybe further down River RD?

Camp Snyder?  That's in Haymarket, nowhere near the river, if that's what you're referring to.

I thought he was along the river in MD   ...   where the trees were "removed" so he could see the Potomac.

Danny Snyder is one thing, Camp Snyder entirely another.  My bad.

I'm not sure.    My son's pack (and a few adults) spent a week there.    Loved it.   It was a tent and activity (outdoors/crafts/hiking) outing.    There is nothing like being outside without a newspaper, etc.    After a day or two, it doesn't matter.    Who cares about the stock market when you can see the Milky Way every night?

EDIT:    Went to the "man cave" and found the group picture.    It has Camp PMI.    Some stories that still bring a chuckle.

Now I have an urge to find one myself. Always wanted a 911, but the 944 is stupid cheap

http://thegarage.jalopnik.com/heres-everything-i-need-to-fix-on-my-cheap-porsche-944-1749216869#_ga=1.32425085.270001928.1434508923

944 are easy to mod and handle great. I'd love to get a 944 turbo and make it a dedicated pca race car. There's more exotic cars than the 911, but it's still my favorite car. I really dislike that they added turbos to the new carreras. The 997.2 gen cars were the last modern 911 that is great. The new 991 cars don't have the hydraulic steering and the trademark 911 handling (aka the pendulum-like feeling) because they lengthened the body. If I was in the market for a new Porsche, it would be a cayman.
