there really haven't been any decent EV pickup truck options. The Ford Lightening was insanely expensive with no towing capacity. The Rivian R1T also costs around $75k.

I think there could be a heck of a market for a low cost, small truck, especially for work use. Ford could sell a ton of Maverick EVs if one existed IMHO.

I keep wondering why they aren’t marketing to the work use community. Having a massive power bank is a great benefit for in-home repairs.

The real game-changer, for EV's, is supposed to come on-stream next year when Toyota start producing their solid-state batteries. No electrolyte, so much less cooling effort required (smaller heat-sinks) - half of the weight, of current battery packs, is the cooling required (it's the electrolyte which catches fire). Their greater efficiency, and lighter weight, should mean 800+ miles on one charge, and full charge being achieved in just a few minutes. We shall see...

Pity the Denali EV didn't live up to the advanced billing - GM were originally promising 1000hp 'as a statement'... ;)
