Seems like this Mike Richards guy is a bit of a jerk, he’s basically been angling for the hosting job, any hosting job, for years, and he rigged to competition.
Also, he totally screwed over Ken Jennings.

I hear Mother Theresa was unavailable.

Seriously...had Rodgers or Burton gotten the gig...people would be coming out of the woodwork to go after them too...for whatever...and who knows what Jennings has in his closet?

That said...I'm guessing this guys tenure will be cancelled before the sun goes down...

Jennings already apologized for past controversial statements.

Just hire Joe Rogan and be done with it.

If he comes accross as a jerk, the show won't last. A likable host who can fade away into the background makes the show work

at first, when folks said Mike Richards would host, I thought of Michael Richards (Cosmo Kramer). I know he had some questionable improv at one of his club appearances. This stuff with the new host sounded like up his alley. Maybe Mike thought his remarks would get attributed to Cosmo.

I think Trebek would have been happy with Ken. He left his cuff links and a personal note for him right before he died.

It’s clear to me the Mike Richards really wanted to be on TV and basically rigged it to get what he wanted. And it would have worked if he hadn’t done that stupid podcast. Why he felt the need to even do a podcast is something beyond my comprehension.
