Decided to give Amazon's Jack Ryan a try the other night.  First episode seems decent.

The whole series was pretty good.

Is it done at 2 seasons or just on hiatus?

I tried to watch it but just couldn't get into it.  I can't buy Jim Halpert as Jack Ryan.  Dwight would have been a much better choice.

It took a couple of episodes for me as well, but when he continued to not raise an eyebrow at the camera or mug for the 4th wall, it was easier to just go with it.

I would have been nice to have at least one Michael Scarn reference.

ESPN finally getting rid of Dan "My shows have no actual sports content" Lebotard on January 4th...

Next they need to can Steven A. "I use big words so therefore you know I know what I'm takin' about" Smith & Max "Worse than fingernails on a chalkboard" Kellerman.

Don't know if the series "Yellowstone" with Kevin Costner has been mentioned but it has been riveting. The first three seasons are completed and Season Four will air sometime in June 2021 on Paramount on Sundays at 9:00 PM. They occasionally run marathons Seasons 1-3 of the show and the last one was before Thanksgiving. It is also available on DVD. The acting and scenary are great and it takes place in Montana and is current with our times.

I've taken to watching Live from Darryl's House on AXS lately.  Format is he has an artist or band come over, they play a mix from the guest's and Hal's catalogues, then they grab some food from a guest chef and talk.  Last night was the O'Jays, which was a lot of fun.

from Pottstown.

One of the O'Jays said he sang like he had an Afro.

"Backstabbers" and "Love Train" were awesome.

The PBS Newshour is a news show I have been watching for over 35 years, when I first moved to the DC area.  I became hooked on its 3 story format that showed more details about an issue than just stating the highlights, as with other news shows.  Mark Shields has been a political columnist on the Newshour for over 30 years.  He and different conservative columnists (presently David Brooks) have shared their ideas every Friday night since Ronald Reagan's 2nd term.  Unfortunately, Mark is leaving the show.  His last show will be this Friday, 12/18.
